Cody "Coyote" Beebe: Founder & Lead Mentor
Cody began his wilderness training as a child living in the Sierra
Nevada's where he roamed free with his brothers and sisters, and
began learning about the plants, animals, and aid-less navigation from
his mother, and nature her-self.  As a teenager, Cody relocated to the
Bellingham area of Washington and spent every weekend hiking and
camping while completing school and studying horticulture. At age 24
Cody began training as a wilderness mentor with renowned naturalist
and mentor trainer,
Jon Young. After mentoring with Jon and
Wilderness Awareness School for two years, Cody decided to do
something closer to home and began mentoring in the Bellingham area.
Cody is co-founder and lead mentor for Earthways Nature Education. In
his spare time you can usually find him working on various restoration
and permaculture projects. Cody also assists survival expert
Frank
Sherwood
of Earthwalk Northwest in adult treks. Cody has been
mentoring children and adults in naturalist awareness and wilderness
skills since 1996.

Eric Edge: Mentor
Eric was born and raised in Rhode Island where he fell in love with the
natural beauty  of the Eastern Woodlands. He earned a Bachelor's
Degree in Exercise  Science as an NCAA student/athlete at the
University of Rhode Island. It was there that he was introduced to 'W.
Alton Jones', an environmental education school where he began as an
intern and later hired as a field teacher/naturalist. A love for exploration
led him west to Colorado for four years where he traveled and camped
extensively throughout Utah, Wyoming and Montana. Feeling drawn to
the Pacific Northwest, Eric  moved to  Bellingham in 2004 and now
resides in Maple Falls with his wife and two dogs. Eric brings with him
several unique skills that have been developed over six years of working
with autistic adults with behavioral disorders as well as a love of
learning/ teaching about our natural world. He has been working with
Earthways since the summer of 2006.
